Third Party Labor (TPL) Third Party Products (TPP)
In customer projects, Professional Service Delivery implements Sun and partner products to fulfill customer requirements.
To keep the status as a technology leader, this function must be successfully realized. A key point to be successful is a profitable realization.
A fundamental element in our business model is the ability to scale through partner skills and resources. This will be achieved through the 3PL program.
Our focus in customer projects lies on Sun products and technologies. Third Party Labour can be a fundamental support in the delivery and sometimes even in the presales phase. Sun’s aim in the 3PL program is a long-term, qualityoriented partnership. All these partnerships are listed in the Approved Vendor List (AVL).
To get customized solutions, Third Party Products can be integrated into the project. In this area, Sun makes a differentiation between global product relationships and local agreements.

On Site Services (OSS) Local Service Provider Break & Fix (LSP) Original Equipment Manufacture (OEM) Multi Vendor Support (MVS)
Service Delivery Partners are companies that support Sun in the delivery of maintenance services to our customers. The services are delivered in the name of Sun.
Support Partners are divided into four different categories
LSP Partner This partner category delivers reactive type services on customer site such as Break & Fix, installations and upgrade services.
OSS Partner This partner category is familiar with the complete Sun technology portfolio. Typically, this partner is involved in longterm projects at customer site.
OEM Partner This partner category is fulfilling services on OEM products which are handled globally through special agreements. Due to the fact, that Sun cannot cover the complete service of these products, Sun has back-to-back agreements covering the solution.
MVS Partner Sun Multivendor Services (MVS) expands the classic Sun Spectrum Support and offers the customer Break & Fix and Proactive Support service for heterogeneous IT environments. With this partner model, Sun is able to support a wide range of products from different manufacturers. This service will be fulfilled by selected partners, based on geographic location, level of certification and proven experience.

Within the SPA Program we distinguish four different Partner Levels:
- Executive Partner

Within the three Partner Levels (Associate, Principal or Executive), the SPA Program offers four product segments for certification::
- SPARC (Entry, Mid, High)
- x64 (Entry, Mid)
- Software (Entry, Mid)
- Storage (Entry, Mid, High)
The investment and the certification determine the SPA Level.
